New York! Concrete jungles where dreams are made of!
Love that song! It's so true...my friend will be going there next week and my friend from New York will be visiting. I wish I was going to New York! LOVE and miss that place. Evan and I will visit when he's old enough to truck himself around the streets and tunnels.
I've been so busy that the computer is the last thing I would like to spend my time on, not even to shop!
Halloween was CRAZY!!! I'll post photos as soon as I can upload them. We went to the pumpkin patch. Met up with Kaying and her kids at Rosedale to trick or treat. Then MOA! I'm telling you, I've never seen so many gee-golly-wiz stroller in my life. I became high strung and felt like the soccer mom that had to make sure their kid got theirs! I was ready to leave after a while and all they were passing out were a ton of lolly pops which I didn't care too much for. Best Buy had the rotundas full of people waiting in line for 2 king size M&Ms and 1 .5 liter of crush. I never thought that parent's would do such a thing. Oh and Chipolte was backed up with people and their tin foils. We went around the neighborhood where there were tricks. I even got scared when the spider jumped down as I walked to the next house! I couldn't believe it. And Evan was very scared at some of the other homes that we went to. As he was on my back so I could feel his legs tighten up around my hips and feel him claw into my arms. It was quite the adventure. He was not even tired after nor were Kaying's kids...they were trying to be troupers but eventually you could tell they were winding down.
Not only to say that that Thursday and Friday he was doing things already too. Thursday we went to Byerly's event for kids. Friday, he came to my work place and did his thing around the cubes. He loved it. Everyone enjoyed his MIB outfit.
Most of my students are getting over some kind of sickness. That has been nice getting off work early!
Yesterday night, my nephew came over and helped me rake the leaves to the streets! Lazy I know but man there was no way I wanted to bag up all those leaves. 4 huge trees in my yard. We did it in top time--35 minutes. I was sweaty and gross. Evan thought he was having the time of his life in the dark with the leaves. He kept trying to put the leaves back.
His new thing is putting on shoes! Any shoe, especially trying to put on my heels. It's hilarious.
New sayings: What is that? but it sounds like-wha-sss-tha? and Where is it? sounding like whes-ey?
I'm shocked...here I am speaking only Hmong to him and he picks up on the English so much easier! I do not like. He knows: ears, eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, knees, feet, toes, hands, fingers--in Hmong of course.
Learning colors.
Bed time, still struggles. Thinks mine is his! No, no, no! Then struggle again!
Bottle....grrr...want to get rid of those things! By 2 for sure. Just cut off like nursing.
Getting big, getting tall. He's about 30 lbs and 34".
What I love the most....he knows to use one finger when you ask him how old he is. And then when he see Yawg...he starts singing traditional folk songs----OOOoooo-aw! Loves talking to grandma on the phone. Laughs a ton with Auntie PZ and Chee...they both have the same name to him.
Still hates it when you wipe his poop.
And who ever said that they don't stop going through 5-8 diapers a day at this age! What comes in MUST come out.
Anyhow, at work, so I'll update with photos later.
