Bi-lingual
Since Evan has been born, I have been on it about him learning both Hmong and English. He's has mastered most of the basics. Though he has his preferences in saying certain words, I hope I can keep it up and he won't lose it when he gets older.
Mr. Knows-So-Much can definitely understand me when I speak to him in Hmong and then in English. I will follow each sentence in English or in Hmong, which ever I say first. So when he's not around me, I know he can understand.
Grandpa and Grandma are adamant about him knowing Hmong first. It's the only language that they speak to him. My brothers and sisters speak more English.
If I ever do decide to move to another country, I would hope that he may gain all the other languages spoken around him.

The best part is that I call him Nongy. Aid calls him that too sometimes. It's super cute.

I definitely want my little man to learn chinese (not from me, because mine is so bad haha). What i've come to realise is, you don't need to put too much effort into making them learn the language they're surrounded by (the mistake my mum made). They will always pick that up easily and perfectly, because they will want to 'be the same as everyone else' at school etc. It's getting them to learn their mother tongue, and keep to it, that's hard work.
Is there a hmong school at weekends? I think i'm going to have to send my little one to chinese school to sort that part out, as he won't be immersed in chinese at home unfortunately :(
