I'm pretty tiger when it comes to teaching Evan. I know he feels the pressure and doesn't want to do it when I ask him to. So lately I've let up a bit (A LOT it feels like) and we were reading a book when we got to the word 'dog'. I had him read after me so I stopped at the word and pronounced the letters with him. He was able to register it as D-O-G. I was so amazed. Little steps, little steps is what I tell myself.
